Linnea McGinness is a writer, producer and editor. She has produced 17 short films ranging in length from 1-15 minutes and written/directed/edited 13 short films over the past seven years. Her films portray stories about love, families, teenage angst and relationships.

In 2015 she won an award at the American Youth Film Festival for the Best Love Story for the 4 minute short “Untitled” that she directed and produced.  The film is about a young girl coming to terms with her unrequited love. 

Linnea is an avid traveler and has been to 32 states and 16 countries, including time as an exchange student for three months in China and three months in Spain. She also volunteered on a horse farm in Ireland for six weeks. She finds much of her inspiration from her own life experiences and believes that her travel has furthered her ability to express relationships between people, a subject that she makes very vivid with her work.

Her other interests include horseback riding, watching movies, cooking, spending time with friends, playing games (both board and video) and reading.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from School of Visual Arts in the Spring of 2020.
